| To ensure that the quality
standards in companies are comparable and supplier use the same quality
criteria as the recipients, there are general Quality Management
Standards.
These standards include, for example, the
international series of standards ISO 9000-9004.
- ISO: International Standards
Organisation (ISO standards are valid worldwide)
Apart from the ISO 9000ff series of standards, there is also, for
example, the QS 9000 guideline from the US automotive
industry, which also specifies quality management methods.
All companies that adhere to the ISO 9000 standard can
have their company certified. In this certification, an external expert
checks whether the company complies with the quality regulations specified
by the standard. To allow the expert to check, the company must
write down all internal rules and procedures in a so-called Quality
Management Handbook. This can be a proper book or, for example, a web
page. |
