| All probing
points determined during stylus qualifications refer to the machine
coordinate system of the CMM. This
is a coordinate system specified ex works (in parallel to the
CMM
axes).

In practice, however,
coordinates are required that refer to the parts, as specified in the
technical drawing (see example below).

| This is why, prior to
measuring the individual standard geometric elements, first the associated
part coordinate system has to be determined.
