Qualification |
Step 1 of 13

Learning target: At the end of this
unit, you will be able to select both the stylus system and the stylus suitable
for the measuring task at hand. You will know the technical and mathematical
process of stylus qualification of the reference sphere and the qualification
sequence. You will understand the process of stylus sphere radius
and stylus tip bending corrections. You will know in principle that the stylus
sphere acts a mechanical filter as a function of the radius. You will have
developed a feeling for sequence errors in case of imprecise qualification and
calibration errors.
| In this unit, you will learn how to select
and qualify styli.
You will learn to take into account the mechanical filter
effect and to minimize calibration errors.
At the end, there will be as always a summary of the
subject-matter of the unit.
