| When probing with a
spherical stylus the CMM returns the stylus tip center as the probing point.
This point must then be corrected for the stylus sphere radius. This is best
explained using an example:

Each probing point must be corrected by the amount of the stylus sphere
radius in different directions - depending on external or internal probing.
This is done automatically in the measuring software. |
