A special case
in construction are the so-called connecting elements. The connection
of several geometric elements results in the formation of a new "virtual"
geometric element:

- In the left example, a "virtual"
line is generated from four circle
centers, the circle centers being "connected" to give a line.
- In the right example, a new
circle is generated from the
centers of the three large and the two small circles. Here, too, the
circle centers are "connected" to give a virtual new circle.
